- George Washington was the first Grand Master of Masons of the Commonwealth comprising
the thirteen original colonies.
- Of the 29 Major Generals in Washington's army..24 were Master Masons.
- Of the 37 Brigadiers...30 were Master Masons.
- Of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence...53 were Master Masons.
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a Mason.
- Robert Burns was a Past Master of St. David's Lodge, Tarbolton.
- Euclid, the great mathmatician, was a Mason.
- Ancient Masonic tradition holds that the Lodge of St. John at Jerusalem is the Mother Lodge and that all lodges since are decended from it. Originally dedicated to St. John The Baptist, then to St. John, the Evangelist, and finally to the Holy Sts. John of Jerusalem honoring both.
- Masonry admits that it is decended from the Ancient Mysteries circa 4200 B.C..
