Sherry and I had dinner with our friends Robyn & Greg Sekula at Equus tonight. We enjoyed our meal very much.

Sherry and I shared a meal. We started off with Truffled Mac and Cheese with Kenny's Cheddar and Cheese Nips- 6.50  and for the main course we had Shrimp Jenkins: Fried Carolina Shrimp flavored in Brown Sugar, Rosemary, Worcestershire, Tabasco and Bourbon - 16.5. The Mac & Cheese was tasty but nothing to write home about but the Shimp—oo-la-la—was incredible. It was somewhat sweet with an afterbite of spicy. I would definitely have it again.

Robyn & Greg also shared a meal. They started with the Crab Cakes with Red Pepper Tartar Sauce & Lump Crab Dill Mayonnaise - 7  and also had the Shrimp Jenkins.

The four of us also shared the Eifler Fries with Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing  - 5 which were scrumptious. Blue Cheese dressing often is over-powering, but not so at Equus. It was just right.

The chef divided the shrimp into two portions so we each had our own plate - the sign of a class act restaurant.

Robyn and I each had the Equus Chess Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream & Chocolate Sauce—very sweet and very chocalatey, a bit too much for me. But I ate it all. Greg had Cheese Cake and Sherry, who thinks one ought to be hungry to eat dessert had a taste of my cake.

With drinks and coffee the bill came ± $100 not including tip. It was a good meal with good friends.
