The latest fad diets generally advise that you avoid this or that, but they don't tell you what you should eat, except by process of elimination. Here it is: "Eat plenty of fresh, raw, in-season fruits and vegetables every day." It should be obvious that we have evolved (or been "intelligently designed" if you must.) to assimilate foods as they occur naturally. The more something looks like it just came from the garden the more nutritious it is likely to be.
